As a young teenager, not only did I write my dearest thoughts into some diaries, but I also had a summer journal. I think this particular notebook was given to me as a gift, and the cover reminded me of summer days at the cottage. From then on, I used each page to record what happened every day during my summer vacation. Talk about dedication!

Today marks my blog's official 3rd birthday! On one hand - where has the time gone? And on the other, it feels like I've been blogging for a lot longer. Probably because back in the day, I did kinda "blog" on sites like LiveJournal and Geocities. Last year, I didn't end up doing a birthday post because I was in the midst of transferring everything to Squarespace but this year, I felt like I owed it a little something.

Why, hello there! I know it's been a few weeks since I've dropped in! Work has taken the better half of me lately..but I'm hoping it quiets down soon. With a busier schedule, it only means a better excuse for a yummy, healthy snack to take with you on the run. If you're anything like me, you love a good snack or two at the office before lunch hour, or as an afternoon pick-me-up. Cut-up apple slices sprinkled with some cinnamon are one of my favourite healthy and simple choices!
