We've been blessed with such beautiful weather this weekend. I almost feel guilty being inside now! But I so badly wanted to do an update.
Tomorrow is officially the first day of Fall / Autumn! :D As much as I love summer (because I do!) I really can't wait for the beautiful fall weather and all the fun things that come with this season -- Pumpkin Spiced-Latte at Starbucks, sweater weather, crisp Autumn air, scented candles, apple cider, pumpkins, coloured leaves....etc!
Part of what got me more excited for fall was last night, Brian and I went over to our friend Elisa's apartment for a fabulous dinner and she had her place decorated so beautifully -- yet, so simply too for the fall season:
She bought the table cloth from Dollarama:
Elisa is very crafty so she bought the pieces of the faux fall leaves from the dollar store and with the help of a bit of creativity and a hot glue gun, she made a beautiful little arrangement!
She also put this beautiful wreath together!:
To say I loved Elisa's apartment is a bit of an understatement! If I were to have my own place or share it with someone else, this is exactly what I would like mine/ours to look like too! Such nice style -- and very cozy, too!
She also has a stunning view from her balcony:
We had such a classy evening :) :
Delicious cheese from St. Lawrence Market, along with crackers and a mix of corn, red onion and avocado (amazing!):
We had lots of wine!:
I loved this Pisa plate!:
As well as this stunning picture(s) of Venice:
Brian and Chris:
It rained really hard at one point last night so we all stayed in just enjoying the company, sipping on lots of wine!, and enjoying a fabulous meal Sean and Elisa had prepared. Brian also brought along some extremely tasty bruschetta!
I was inspired -- except I went overboard too. I went nuts at Dollarama today and bought a whole bunch of fall decor for my bedroom (mind the clutter-ness of everything...):
Some fall garland to go around my bulletin board:
And this picture!:
I added some faux leaves to the sides of my new dollar store mirror (hah):
Faux orange flowers, pumpkins and leaves! An orange candle holder included.
Scarecrows and some leaves for my bedroom door :) :
Maybe I need to learn when to tone it down ;)
I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend and is taking it easy on this beautiful Sunday!
Tonight, my Nonna is coming over for some dinner. I'm hoping to squeeze in a little workout there and I gotta get ready for some more training tomorrow! It will be another hectic few days but I'm also looking forward to it.
Happy Sunday everyone!
... and Happy First Day of Fall/Autumn for tomorrow! :D
