We had absolutely beautiful weather for our Thanksgiving this past weekend (well, except maybe Thanksgiving Day, lol). But on the Sunday before the big day, I headed to Whittamore's Berry Farm with some friends to take advantage of the beautiful weather!
Clear, blue skies!:
My favourite -- the pumpkin patch!! Just look how pretty it all looks in the sunlight:
They even had mini ones which were not only adorable but are used to help make tasty pumpkin pie:
My friend, Daniel and I got some warm apple cider together:
"Celebrating our birthdays!": (Hah not really, we just thought it would be a funny pic):
The line-up was too big the for the Wagon Rides, so we decided to get lost in the corn maze instead!:
We having a corn war?!:
And hiding in between the stalks ;) :
Even with a healing foot, Steph managed to do a hand-stand in the midst of the corn crops!:
Look at these stunning views once we exited the maze!:
Finally we made it to the pumpkin patch and had a bit of a photo-shoot!:
After buying some homemade pies and tarts from the farmer's market, we drove by to Cedar Trail at Rouge Park just down the street and walked a bit of the breath-taking pathways:
Steph and Daniel being risk-takers!:
Sorta reminded me of the Blair Witch Project!:
We ended off our day with some Mexican food down by the Distillery District:
Awesome lights! :)
I also started brain-storming for a Halloween costume this weekend! Normally, I'm so on-top of my costumes; I'll usually have them picked out by late August / mid-September but this year I was completely stumped! Somya and I did some shopping on Saturday and explored parts of the city to help gather some ideas.
I am happy to say I have a costume picked out! And no, it is not this pumpkin-pie hat costume, LOL:
Stay tuned for an upcoming post on my past Halloween costumes!
Hope everyone's having a nice Tuesday! :)
