Last week, one of our friends, Miche invited us to an elegant evening at the beautiful Casa Loma in Toronto. It's a historic and memorable old landmark that is now used for classy events like weddings or in this case, an alumni / reunion night featured by the University of Toronto.
We really felt like we had just entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
We had a wonderful evening of stunning sights, yummy food and drinks - and lots of picture-taking!
Miche is a recent alumni of their grad program. As you can imagine, she's very thrilled to be finished school!
They had beautiful gardens and blossomed tulips decorated everywhere.
And inside was even more breath-taking.
We really loved this U of T background panel! My sister will also be an official grad as of next year.
The Conservatory was filled with exquisite desserts, tea and coffee. It made for something yummy to munch on while we waited in line for dinner.
Miche really loved the ceiling in this room!
The outside patio was even more astounding. We all agreed this reminded us of the yard in the Great Gatsby.
A stunning view of the Toronto skyline.
And a real-live chess board! Miche wanted to so badly take a picture on this and imitate that scene in Harry Potter, but it was always packed with people.
We all had turns taking a photo-session under this lush green arc :)
Afterwards, we finally made it to the dinner! They served some grilled cheese, hot-dogs and their most popular - mini hamburgers! Or sliders. They were mega tasty - all of this included for just $10!
They'd also come around with plates of free appetizers throughout the evening, which were very delish. Miche and I splurged for a yummy Caesar cocktail (which was very spicy! But equally tasty).
Nightfall was starting to appear on the grounds - which made for even more beautiful shots.
We ran into some friends there who were also former grads of U of T.
All the ladies for a chic photo.
We ended the night off on their dance-floor, which took place in their little garden house. They had a really awesome, live-band who were a talented group of folks and played fun hits.
The Conservatory looked absolutely stunning at night with the blue, shadowy lights.
As well as the castle! It really did remind us of Hogwarts in those bewitching hours.
All in all, a fantastic night was held by all! :D
