Wooo for Friday again, friends! Thank you guys again yesterday for the feedback on my first ever video tour! It's something I always wanted to do, but never expected to just do it on a whim like I did yesterday. Though there's some "adjustments" I'd like to do for future vids (ie. I noticed after a few views, I kept kinda clearing my mouth due to it being dry from the talking!), I was overall content with it.
This week's Happy Friday will be fairly short and brief: due to an overall quiet week. So here we go:
Last Friday was so incredibly busy between work and evening plans that by the time Saturday came rolling around, I did something I hadn't done in awhile: nothing. And I loved it! Saturday was calm and rainy and I really wasn't in the mood to do anything, so I stayed in my cozy sweats all day and splurged for some snacks, green tea, and an afternoon DVD (Fifty Shades, if you must know ;) #guiltypleasure)
The weather even kept the cats nice and lazy throughout the afternoon.
On Sunday, a few of us went out for a birthday brunch for our friend, Libby. We went to a fabulous little bistro restaurant, The Kennedy Public House that served yummy food and drinks, and played my favourite - oldies tunes. It reminded me of our fave bar, Clinton's in a restaurant form.
I got myself an avocado sandwich with fries on the side.
Her boyfriend made this hilarious and cute little collage for her special day; I had to share it!
In the evening, I headed over to Brian's for dinner. Not featured in this picture but we also had tasty burgers and sausages grilled on the BBQ with garden salad and potato salad. Yum!
Monday evening was back at softball.
We lost this time around but still had fun. The other team was really nice and we got along with them pretty well (we love to have music playing during our games and they quite loved our Spice Girls soundtrack that night!)
I couldn't help "laughing" at a particular wardrobe I was wearing at work the other day: none of it was intended, but after seeing myself in the mirror, I felt like a freakin' unicorn. For reals. I sent this picture to my sister, throwing her into a fit of giggles.
Easy, Breezy Weather
I spent a lot of time just hanging out in my backyard this week; the weather was absolutely perfect with its light breezes and sunny skies.
I had never seen these shrubs in our planter before; they really caught my eye.
Lenny and Cartney enjoying the outdoors.
The little garden is coming along!
Perched on my favourite lawn chair after work one day :)
Chilling with Lenny on the swing.
And relaxing, evening reads: my favourite.
Can't get enough of how beautiful everything looks this time of year.
Late starts to my day make for quieter and soothing mornings.
Another favourite reading spot of mine.
Another planter - with faux flowers, actually - but, just look at that tiny, little nest!
We have no idea where it came from! I've never seen a nest so small.
Sometimes simple and quieter weeks are the best to be enjoyed!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! :)
