And drew this little guy inside beside a written message.
Paired off with a French red wine can really show someone how thankful you are for all their help!
And last week, one of my coworkers, Christine was leaving to take on another job.
Now, I'm back working there part-time - and Christine is leaving! This was my chance to repay the favour.
For a small gift, I picked up a few of her favourite creams and sprays from Bath and Body Works (we're both fans!) and found a beautiful card with purple lilacs on the front (that I forgot to take a picture of..). I didn't have room for a drawing with the long good-bye message I wrote, but I did manage to include the picture of me and her at the top.
With the little space I had left, I included some stickers and a few dabs of silver glitter-glue from the dollar store.
I still had one more box of chocolate banana bread mix from last month so I set to work.
Because I'm smart, I didn't read the instructions properly. Rather than adding the chocolate mix later to create the swirl in the bread, I added it right away.
I'm clearly still learning a few "skills" in the kitchen! But it still managed to turn out great and very tasty. With the added chocolate chips and French vanilla frosting on top, it was a winner at the office last week.
A small baked good, a simple bottle of wine, or a personally hand-written card can really show someone how appreciative you are of them! A little definitely goes a long way and I know it's something both these people, who have helped me out so much, will truly treasure.
