Fall begins officially next week, and despite my excitement for all things pumpkin and fallen leaves, Summer is definitely still upon us. The sun is expected to shine all week and temperatures remaining well into the high twenties. I love a good Indian summer.
My work has resumed - which means these past few days have been busy! - and to top it off, I've also been fixing up my resume and applying to other positions. It's why my post was delayed today and it may be like that for the next little bit, so just bear with me! :) This week, I'll be sharing some photos from our last weeks of Summer to wrap things up. So without further ado!:
A couple of Fridays ago, I dedicated a post to my dad's milestone 60th birthday. I didn't get around to taking a lot of photographs, but the next night we went out for a big pasta dinner and had some yummy cake with coffee back at our place.
A low-key night was exactly what he wanted.
Literally the next morning, I went out for a little birthday brunch, this time to celebrate Brian's cousin's birthday. Frankie was turning 20 years young and his mom had us all over for a lovely and tasty luncheon.
I love their little cousin, Antonio. This guy is so well behaved and never gets tired of telling you stories about living with his family on the farm.
I love how he just knew I was taking some candid photos!
At one point, Antonio suddenly had the urge to draw. Chelsea and I joined in on him and before we knew it, we were more into the drawing-thing than he was.
Then it was cake time for Frankie! His mom picked up this delicious ice cream chocolate cake that had me craving seconds (and thirds).
Antonio insisted on helping Frankie make a wish.
A beautiful group photo! (Though, I have no idea what Brian's brother is doing to my hair...)
For months now, Frankie and his mom told us about how they have a family of cats living under their deck.
We put out a bowl of milk for them and they completely devoured it!
These kittens and their mother were so adorable. I wonder how our cats would have felt if I brought them home?
As if we need any more! ;)
I hope everyone's having a nice and cozy Tuesday evening!
