Happy sunny Friday, everyone! We've been having such beautiful Fall weather this week, and I only wish I could say I've been enjoying it. But I'm still feeling completely run-down! I hope the weekend gives me a chance to fully relax and recuperate, because I'm ready to shake off this cough and achy headache! I hope you guys have been able to enjoy Fall in your area too, if you have it this time of year (if not, is it hot and humid where you are now? Or cold and rainy?) Here's this week's Happy Friday!:
For the second time in three months, my sister and I had the pleasure of seeing Ed Sheeran perform again in Toronto!
We enjoyed his show so much in June, that we couldn't pass up the opportunity when we heard he'd be returning (for my sister, this was her third time in a year seeing him!) His opening act also included the talented Christina Perri (A Thousand Years, Human) and they even performed a fun duet together.
We sat pretty much in the same seats back in June!
Here's a clip of him playing Lego House:
And him talking, which I loved! In this clip, he's telling a story of how he had his first complaint from a couple in Winnipeg. They apparently thought the whole concert was lip synced and wanted their money back! Meanwhile, it's entirely live, and he's explaining how he does everything through a loop pedal:
Talking about how he started in Canada:
And playing 'Bloodstream', one of my favourite songs:
Like last time, it was well worth it.
Next up - Paul McCartney in October! :D
During the week, Brian and I made it out to a Blue Jays game together - most likely our last one of the year *insert sad face* But we can hardly wait to watch their post-game season: the first time in 23 years!
These days, the Rogers Centre is completely packed and sold out. It seems everyone wants to get into the Jays spirit!
It was a beautiful Autumn night in Toronto. Thank goodness I had on my warm and stylish Jays sweater!
And of course, a win in the end is always fabulous!
Way to go, Toronto! :)
I may have been feeling completely crummy this week, but I still found some time to enjoy the first few days of Fall. The other day, I shared my Fall room decoration which got me into the spirit. I also made sure to get some fresh air and savour up all the nice weather we've been getting.
As my one friend would say, I was working in a very "quintessential" part of the city earlier this week, so on my lunch break, I walked around for a bit scoping out the area.
And eventually took a seat to read on a peaceful park bench.
I scoped out the Halloween and Thanksgiving displays at Pottery Barn:
Got my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season (white-chocolate mocha for my friend!):
And a took seat in my favourite swing in our backyard, enjoying the sun, breeze, and a good book with some fresh coffee:
Now I'm off to get some dinner, watch the Jays game tonight, and hopefully have an early night in to get over this blasted cough!
Wishing you all a wonderful, fun weekend!
