Recently, my sister celebrated her graduation from university! My family and I took the time to head into downtown Toronto and witness her receiving her well-deserved degree.
Because there were so many family and friends invited for the graduates - there was no room at the convention hall for little old me. Not a worry though - the university provided some tents outside with a live stream of the convocation going on. I was still able to see my sister graduate and receive her diploma!
Then it was picture-taking with the graduate and the family!
It really was such a special time in her life: she just came back from a two-week solo Euro trip, landed a lucky full-time job, and now she had finally graduated!
Andrea worked so hard for five, long years. We all knew how much this moment meant to her!
Afterwards, our neighbour organized a little surprise graduation party for Andrea.
She went off to Party City and bought all the décor, including this hilarious mini graduation cap.
And this 'Doodle Graduation Bear' where everyone got to sign it and write some well wishes. Such a neat idea!
She really has the sweetest friends!
I ended up finding this hand-painted graduation-themed wine glass that went along nicely with her gifts.
