It's that time of year again - the Canadian Thanksgiving Long Weekend! Any excuse for an extra long weekend is always great, but there's something so nice about Thanksgiving. Is it all the delicious food? Everything you're thankful for? The beautiful season of Autumn? Or all those Thanksgiving specials (I'm talking "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and those Friends episodes, like when Rachel tries to make a dessert trifle). I think it's probably a combo of everything! Is there something that stands out for you most during your Thanksgiving weekend?
The weather here in Ontario has been phenomenal so far this fall. This morning after I dropped the car off for some maintenance, I blasted some Alanis Morissette through my headphones and went for a little fall walk.
The front porch is all ready for the feast this weekend, too!
Every year, I always mean to buy a cream coloured pumpkin to change things up a bit. I finally picked one up from our local grocery store the other night.
Edited Oct. 10th: Over the weekend, we attended a family birthday that had beautiful centre table arrangements. We got to take some home, so I leaped on these little pumpkin squashes.
And this gorgeous floral arrangement our aunt put together. Perfect for the season!
Some friendly scarecrows hung on our front doors and over the garage.
Indoors, my mom stuck some faux orange flowers into our basket by the fireplace.
We found all our leftover fall-scented candles from Bath and Body Works.
And kept the theme going with some gorgeous fall coloured flowers my mom received for her birthday the other night.
To my fellow Canadians - Happy Thanksgiving Long Weekend!!
