We went to a little underground restaurant just down the street from the Eaton Centre called Bannock. Bannock certainly had a rustic feel to it, with the artsy wiring of lights above our table:
To some decorative Canadian moose aligning the walls.
Our friend Ross had a good laugh over the difference in sizes of a half pint compared to a full one.
First up, was some chicken alphabet soup for the starter! (The alphabets were at the bottom).
The main course was delicious pork shoulder and mashed potatoes!
Daniel got the steak, which he seemed to enjoy.
For dessert, was a slab of rich cheesecake paired off with some berries and blueberry sauce.
Ross and Jason decided to be daring, and ordered the crickets. I kid you not.
I was perfectly happy with my cheesecake order. By the end of the night, we were all satisfyingly stuffed!
Summerlicious in the city is on till this Sunday, the 24th. Be sure to check it out if you can!
