Last week as we were going through another heat wave here in Ontario, rather than trying to work on my tan, I decided to do a simple and quick project indoors. I found some left over paint and decided to give my beloved bulletin board a little lift with some colour!
All it took was some acrylic paint from the dollar store and a few coats of a soothing lavender shade (kinda goes with the current colour scheme of the blog, huh?)
This was one layer:
All it took was three generous coats of paint, save for the exception of a few touch-up spots.
I also picked up some tacs from the dollar store and used them to store and display some of my favourite necklaces and bracelets. Not only does it look pretty and sparkle in the sunlight, but it helps prevent any future tangling!
I was really pleased with how it turned out and thought the colour matched my bedroom theme much better! This is what it looked like before:
A simple, quick and inexpensive way to brighten up any space!
