We got a famous back-bacon sandwich from Carousel Bakery! We took it outside and enjoyed the patio weather.
Then we made our way over to the ferry boats, walking past some iconic downtown sites.
We boarded the ferry and enjoyed a 15 minute boat ride of light breezes and beautiful images of the Toronto skyline.
We made it to the beautiful Centre Island! From here, it was numerous photos of the skyline and lots of walking around in the sunshine.
After covering the shoreline, we walked over to the theme park, CentreVille. My sister and I used to go here every year with our old neighbours before we advanced to Canada's Wonderland. It was definitely always a summer highlight!
After going through the park, we crossed a bridge over to Chelsea Beach. In all the years I'd been to the Islands, I'd never been to this part of it before!
It reminded us a bit of the Public Gardens from our Halifax trip last year. After walking around exploring and lots of sunshine, I got myself a fro-yo while we took a break under some shade.
It was a long afternoon spent with lots of walking and beautiful weather. Before we headed back on the ferry, we knew we had to stop for a quick drink at the Toronto Island BBQ & Beer Co, topped with another beautiful view of the skyline.
It really was the perfect end to the day. If you're looking for something fun to do in Toronto, visiting the Islands is always a tourist favourite!
