For Valentine's Day, I made another one of my simple, homemade cards for Brian using some red construction paper, a drawn picture on the front, and some stickers and sparkle as a final touch. First, I searched for a cute Google image to copy:
Then I made it into my own, sketching it first in pencil, marker for shading and a fine black tip pen for the outline:
Cut it out, glue it to the front of the card and voilà!
Add some Valentine's stickers (from Dollarama), glitter-glue, your message inside -- and you're golden!
One thing I always make sure to do when sending cards is write the date in the corner: Feb. 2015. It's a great habit my mom got me into; this way, you can totally keep track of the year and time period when looking back!
Stay tuned for my next post: how I attempted a homemade Valentine's Day mailbox for a craft and made some fun, festive cookies and a cake for the occasion! (You can check out a preview on my Instagram!)
