It's Friday again! Happy Friday, friends! I hope this calls for taking it easy on your work day / school day / regular day ;)
A few weeks ago, Brian's dad officially retired. His coworkers held a little celebration for him and last Friday, his family had planned a beautiful dinner for the close friends and family at their favourite golf club.
Brian's mom took some beautiful photos on her iPad that I'm yet to post from her. More to come!
* Edited - Added Catching Up - A Night Out
Last weekend, I went out with a few friends that I hadn't gone out with in quite awhile! I used to work with a few of these ladies in the grocery store and as much as I disliked the job, I'm so happy I found a great friendship in these lovely gals.
My good friend, Michelle and I were "twinning" in our plaid tees! (not planned!)
Joanna insisted we pose for selfies.
We headed to Grace O'Malleys and danced to a few good tunes.
Spring Has Sprung
Spring-time has finally and officially arrived! Last Sunday was such a gorgeous day outside that while cat-sitting, my sister and I decided to have our breakfast out on the picnic table (yummy pancakes!)
Cartney enjoying the serenity of the warm weather.
Lenny loves his swing!
Then we splurged for a Panormous pizza from Pizza Hut; delish, to say the least! ;)
The sight of new sprouts growing every spring always makes me happy! Plus it still amazes me that no matter how brutal or harsh a Canadian winter was before, these guys still manage to blossom every spring-time.
Even near my work the other day, I was happy to walk around on my lunch break. The neighbourhood was quiet and beautiful in the sunlight.
And I was very happy to see these pretty little flowers starting to grow in:
I perched a seat on a park bench here, read for a bit, and just took in the fresh air and gorgeous day at this park. There were kids playing soccer, people jogging, and lots of dogs out!
Cynthia Lennon Autograph
A few weeks ago, I wrote about how I was very sad to hear about the sudden passing of Cynthia Lennon. She was my favourite Beatles' wife and I loved her second book. I set out on a mission and searched the internet far and wide hoping to lay my hands on an autograph of hers for a decent price - and you wouldn't believe, I found one! From AbeBooks.com, I found a nice chap there who was selling a limited edition of her book, hand-signed by Cynthia for a very decent price. I knew if I didn't leap on this offer right away, someone else surely would. It arrived in less than two weeks! I am very happy to add this great piece of history to my Beatles collection.
Happy weekend to you all! What are your plans for the time off?
