Happy Friday, everyone! And once again - it's the long weekend here in Canada! It really doesn't feel that long ago since we had our last long weekend; how time flies! Even if you're not celebrating a long weekend where you are, I hope you find some time to relax and have some downtime.
Little Summer Street Festival
Last weekend, my sister and I attended a little street festival that was going between Lansdowne and Dufferin. It was geared towards the arts and culture - which we love! It also happened to fall on one of the hottest weekends on record this July. Those people that sat under their booths were truly troopers.
Bringing a little political advocacy to the party!
Andrea splurged for one of these watermelon "smoothies" to keep cool.
Some of the booths really caught our eye, like this one with the jewerelly and charms from Harry Potter and the Hunger Games.
I've always loved the Time-Turner from the third Harry Potter book, and was very tempted to buy this charm!
Finishing the Summer Placement Again
This week I also wrapped up my summer position for the second year in a row, working in the office at my old school. Once again, it was the perfect summer gig and I'm so grateful my old teacher let me come back and do the administration part of it. Like last year, we took a day trip to the ROM:
And once again, I drooled over their amazing dessert selection:
I loved working in the office these past couple of weeks. There's nothing I love more than having a big, spacious office to myself where I can get organized and settled in in the mornings (how much of a nerd am I?) We enjoyed a pizza lunch during our last few days and I snapped some photos for good measure.
It's always bittersweet when the summer job finishes up: on one hand, I enjoyed my time there so much and on the other - I cannot wait for a little bit of a break!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Is anyone lucky enough to be heading up to the cottage?
