The other night, I finally got around to putting a few fall decorations up around my room just in time for the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend. Every year it seems I keep things more settle, but still have a few pops of orange here and there to make it feel like the warm and cozy season that it is!
The shabby table included my fall leaves garland and a few twinkle lights from Christmas I saved. I ether have to get stronger batteries or eventually purchase some more "fairy-like lights" that I've really grown to love. They really add a nice extra glow to the space!
I also swapped out my spring/summer flowers for faux orange and yellow tones. What else is Autumn without the scents of my beloved candles, like Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and Honey Pistachio?
And then I added a few more touches to the room, like a little scarecrow beneath my palm plant and some plastic little pumpkins on top of the TV.
On my bed came the orange throw blanket I got from the dollar store one year, my pumpkin pillowcase from Craftberry Bush's designs, and a few more faux leaves aligning the picture frame.
On my door this year, I went and bought a new wreath from Dollarama. I love the sunflowers and wood-inspired accents like the pine needles and dried berries.
Now that I have my own office at work, I brought my Autumn wreath from the previous years and put it up in place near the window. I always get nice comments from people when they're swinging by and see a few things I've added for the season.
With the long weekend upon us, we'll be putting up a few more decorations in our home that I'll share soon as well. I love coming home and seeing the place all decked up for a new season!
Wishing all my fellow Canadians a wonderful Thanksgiving Long Weekend!
